Problem solved

Cloud cutout sites want your photo uploaded before they will do anything with it, and rembg is only worth the setup if you already work in that Python stack.

What I built

Point it at a photo and you get a PNG with alpha next to it. BiRefNet general runs through onnxruntime-node on your own machine, so the image is read from disk and written back without leaving it. The first cut pulls the ONNX file, about 928MB, into your home directory once, and after that the work is offline. There is a CLI for single files and a localhost drop page for when you would rather drag one in.
