Runs local, nothing uploaded
Outputs MP4 and WebM

Problem solved

A demo video of a website usually means recording your own scrolling by hand, and the take comes out uneven enough to shoot again. This turns a link into that video.

What I built

Paste a URL and it writes an MP4 and a WebM of that site, scrolled at an eased pace with an animated cursor drawn on top. Playwright opens the page headless and records while scrolltape drives the scroll, then ffmpeg trims the load-in and exports both files. Flags pick the cursor style, the tour, the viewport and the scroll speed, and two of them go further: --fill finds the signup or contact form, types sample values and clicks submit, guarded so the page never navigates away and nothing is sent, and --follow clicks through the nav so one continuous take covers several pages. It ships an agent skill for Cursor, Claude Code and Codex, so after a one time setup you send a link and get back the render.
